HOLY MOTHER
You may seize my tongue
but my heart will sing for You.
beaten and flung, chase me off with a stick,
still, i seek shelter at Your feet.
grab my wrists, break my brushes, too
my mind still paints for You!
Bagalāmukhī,
is my madness true?
this voice is small,
(as i am) but a drop of You!
Humble Holy Mother,
You may seize my tongue,
but that’s okay, my mind can pray,
and our hearts sing the same song!
